Rado True Square: The complication is featured on the exterior of the watch

The Swiss brand Rado is synonymous with the introduction of high-tech functional ceramics into watchmaking. At the very beginning of the 1990s, this advanced material became the focus of Rado’s engineers, designers, and watchmakers. Rado developed and introduced it to ensure that the watch would retain its original appearance, sparkle, and colors over the long term. The recently released True Square presents the brilliance of high-tech ceramics in a square-shaped design.

This article presenting the Rado True Square watches focuses on the models belonging to the core collection. Variants with Open Heart skeletonized movements and those created in collaboration with trendy designers will be discussed later.
True Square Automatic Black
Model number: R27078162

The high-tech ceramic developed and used by Rado is lightweight, scratch-resistant, and comfortable to wear. The monobloc case, created using a unique casting process, is made from a single solid piece—not just a surface of functional ceramic around an internal steel core, but entirely from this material, which offers exceptional wearing comfort.

On the black dial, indices indicate the hours, and at 3 o'clock the date can be read on a disc matching the color of the dial. The dial's appearance reflects the watch's overall understated design, with only the RADO and AUTOMATIC inscriptions standing out. At the very bottom, "SWISS MADE" assures us that the Rado True Square in our hands complies with the strict regulations governing Swiss origin.
True Square Automatic Blue
Model number: R27077202

The blue-dial version is formally identical to the black one, but don't think that the only novelty in this edition is the dial color! The case diameter is also 38 millimeters, with a height of 9.6 mm. The corners and edges are rounded here as well, further enhancing the comfort provided by wearing high-tech ceramic.

The dial features a brilliantly radiant blue sunburst finish, consisting of a radial pattern extending from the center to the edges. Unlike the black version, in this case both the watch case and bracelet are made entirely from the high-tech plasma ceramic variant, complemented by a titanium clasp. Plasma ceramic (Plasma HTC) is scratch-resistant, lightweight, hypoallergenic, and quickly adapts to the skin's temperature. During the plasma cementation process, carbon diffuses into the surface of the high-tech ceramic in a plasma gas environment heated to 20,000 degrees Celsius, giving it a metallic sheen.
True Square Automatic Green
Model number: R27077312

The green-dial True Square features a sunburst finish, with the case and bracelet made from plasma high-tech ceramic, recognizable by its metallic shine.

Similar to the other True Square models currently available in the Rado collection, an automatic mechanical movement ticks behind the sunburst green dial, offering a maximum power reserve of 80 hours!
True Square Automatic Black 4 Diamonds
Model number: R27078722

The diamond-adorned versions are clearly aimed at women, while making no compromises in material quality or the precision of the mechanical movement.

Each of the four diamonds set into the dial is of VS-SI clarity and Top Wesselton white.
True Square Automatic Black 12 Diamonds
Model number: R27078702

The total weight of the 12 genuine diamonds is 0.120 carats. Reading the time under poor lighting conditions is aided by Swiss Super-LumiNova coating on the stacked, rose-gold-colored indices.

The polished black high-tech ceramic bracelet is securely fastened to the wrist with a titanium folding clasp.
True Square Automatic Grey 12 Diamonds
Model number: R27077702

The shimmering gray dial harmonizes beautifully with the shine of the plasma high-tech ceramic. At 12 o’clock, the characteristic rotating anchor emblem of Rado watches appears.

On the case back of every True Square model, an engraving indicates the 50-meter water resistance.
