The defining piece from 1984 was the "Frecce Tricolori."
A watch from the eighties?
BREITLING CHRONOMAT
The Chronomat and its little story. What is Chronomat, because we are not referring to chronometer certification here, not even accidentally. We are talking about one of the defining watch families of the Breitling brand. Like many other brands at the time, this family also started out, but it is not entirely true that it dates back to the 1980s, as stated in the title, because its roots can be traced back to the 1940s. Ernest Schneider, owner of the Sicura watch brand, purchased Breitling, which had been hit hard by the quartz crisis, in 1979. Under his leadership and design, the current Chronomat watches were created, which I would call the "forefather" that made the brand famous and set it on its unbroken path to success. This was the "Frecce Tricolori", introduced in 1983-84, created in collaboration with the Italian Air Force aerobatic team and bearing their name, and from then on, it was this watch with its distinctive style features that defined the characteristics of today's Chronomat watch family.
The new Chronomat
We have now taken a giant leap forward to the Chronomat of today. Leave

The watch itself comes with a 42 mm steel case, which is now almost standard size for men's watches, and features a steel buckle with a vintage design, but made with modern precision materials and manufacturing techniques. Its shape may seem a little strange at first glance, but it is actually a tribute to the old days, taking inspiration from the "Rouleaux" strap of the model from that era and reimagining it in a modern guise. The watch features brushed surfaces and hardly any mirror-polished parts, which, let's face it, is not a problem, especially when we consider the micro-scratches that appear almost immediately with daily use. An important minor innovation is that the two inserts at 15 and 45 are removable and interchangeable, so the bezel can be used not only to measure elapsed time, but also for countdown.

The subdials are positioned in accordance with the structure of the B01 movement. On the right side, at 3 o'clock, is the stopwatch minute counter, at 6 o'clock is the hour counter, within this subdial is the date, and at 9 o'clock is the continuous seconds counter. The large central seconds hand starts when the stopwatch is activated. The indices and hands glow beautifully in the dark thanks to their Super-LumiNova® coating. You can choose between the limited edition brown dial, Bentley style, or the classic Frecce Tricolori & nbsp;which is, of course, azure blue in color, and only 250 pieces were made. This is a beautiful tribute to the Italian air squadron, which was founded in 1961 and is still active today.
For the non-limited edition pieces, you can choose from silver, copper, black, and blue dials. The glass is, of course, convex sapphire, as is to be expected at this level, with an anti-reflective coating on both sides, and the back is also covered with sapphire. The watch is water-resistant to 200 meters, thanks in part to the screw-down crown.
Az árat a magas minőség és a saját szerkezet erősen meghatározza, de a remek stílus, a kifogástalan műszaki tartalom, vagyis a sok éves tudás miatt, amit beletettek, meg fogja érni.
