5 LIMITED EDITION ANNIVERSARY MIDO
Inspired by Architecture – in Hungarian „az építészet ihlette” – has been the guiding motto for 20 years of the Swiss watchmaker founded in the city of Biel. The brand, which has been operating for over 100 years and is internationally recognized, is currently a member of the Swatch Group and plans to release a total of 5 limited edition watches for this anniversary. The All Dial and Baroncelli presentations have already taken place, with the unveiling of 3 more models – Ocean Star, Multifort, and Commander – scheduled for later in the year.

Architectural masterpieces, like the outstanding and iconic pieces of Swiss watchmaking, transcend their era. Since 2002, Mido has been linking each collection’s model families with a distinguished architectural work, keeping in mind their timeless aesthetics and exceptional technical performance. Each of the anniversary editions will be available in a presentation box, with a uniquely engraved case back and medallion.
ALL DIAL
Reference number: M8340.4.B3.11

The All Dial was the first series in the Mido collection whose contemporary, modern design elements were inspired by a specific architectural work from the Swiss manufacture. When designing the All Dial's dial and case, the form of the Roman Colosseum guided the eyes of the watchmakers and engineers.

The limited edition is available in 2,022 pieces, with an engraving of the world’s most famous amphitheater, the Roman Colosseum, on the case back. The stainless steel case has a diameter of 42 mm and a water resistance of 100 m. The ETA 2836-2 mechanical movement inside is self-winding and COSC certified. Its maximum power reserve reaches 38 hours. The anthracite dial also displays the date and day of the week.
BARONCELLI
Reference number: M037.407.16.261.00

The Baroncelli models are inspired by the Rennes Opera House in France, which opened in 1836. For this reason, the anniversary edition is limited to exactly this number of pieces, as indicated on the engraved case back.
The movement is based on the ETA C07.611, which after modification is named Calibre 80 and features a Nivachron™ hairspring. The most sensitive component of a mechanical watch is crucial for its accuracy. The Nivachron™ is more resistant to magnetic fields and shocks, retaining its beneficial properties over a long period.
The ivory dial features applied indices and heat-blued hands. At 6 o’clock, the date is displayed in an opening inspired by the windows of the opera house. On the 39 mm case back, alongside the image of the Rennes Opera House, the watch's serial number in the format xxxx/1836 and the water resistance – 50 meters for this particularly elegant model – can be checked.
OCEAN STAR
Reference number: M026.430.17.041.01

The Mido Ocean Star series is linked to the ocean and water sports even in its name. Its inspirational architectural piece is the Europa Point lighthouse at the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea, whose design appears on the case back of the watch and on the medallion included in the presentation box.
Mido will reveal the details of this special edition later. Based on the images, the highly popular Ocean Star will be available with a blue dial and a limited edition of 1,841 pieces.
MULTIFORT
Reference number: M005.430.11.061.81

The Harbour Bridge, an extremely sturdy iron structure, was inaugurated in 1932 at the port of Sydney, Australia. Mido takes this resilience and durability as the inspiration for creating the Multifort model family.
The commemorative edition will also include a medallion in the presentation box issued for the occasion. So far, it has been revealed that the limited edition will feature a dial with Geneva stripes reminiscent of the bridge's vertical support structure, displaying an image of the bridge itself.
COMMANDER
Reference number: M021.431.11.061.02

The Commander series has been continuously part of the Mido collection for six decades. The limited edition features the Eiffel Tower, erected for the 1889 World Expo, on its case back. On the sunburst-finished anthracite dial, the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower can be seen at 12 o’clock. The Swiss watch manufacturer promises further details later; however, the inscription indicates that this model also holds a chronometer certification.
